HYSTER RS45-31CH

 The Hyster reach stacker RS45-31CH / YardMaster II has been modified for 2010, the new features are:
 

 -300 mm longer wheelbase (6.2m instead of 5.9m), because of this the counterweight is also placed backwards.

 -The longer wheelbase allows reduction of truck weight, contributing to lower fuel consumption and reducing tyre wear.

 -200 mm shorter boom end, to maintain competitive dimensions.

 -Counterweight with attractive new styling, offering even better rearwards visibility.

 OPERATOR'S CAB
 

 - Hyster ‘Vista’ cab is state-of-the-art in driver comfort and provides clear sightlines all-round.
 - With airconditioning, integrated into the heating and ventilation system, with manual temperature control
   (not automatic ‘climate control’).
 - Sunshade screens on top- and rear window.
 - Joystick for intuitive control of boom Lift and -Telescope, and spreader functions:
   Sideshift, Rotation, Telescope 20’-40’, Twistlocks unlocking (locking is automatic).
 - Full-suspension fully adjustable driver’s seat with a high backrest, seat belt, seat
   switch for park brake warning buzzer and operator presence system.
 - Map reading light, extra air circulation fan.
 - Wide-view rear view mirrors inside the cab, and outside on the front fenders.

 - The cab can slide to any position
over 2.6 m, up to fully forward, by operating a switch in the cab.
 -
The fully backward cab position gives the most comfortable view angle when stacking containers (4-5) high.
   This position can also be preferred by some drivers
seeking the comfort of being behind the lift cylinders.
 - A partial forward cab position (0.9 m max.) gives uncluttered visibility to 40’ (and 45’ !) containers, from low
   height (lorry bed) up to higher lifting heights.
Some drivers prefer a (full-)forward cab position on a CH machine,
   for low height container handling. A Powered Full-Sliding cab, instead of Powered PARTIAL-Sliding cab is an option.
 
 - The optional Powered Full-Sliding cab includes:

Extra steps & handrails, on the left side, for cab access at full-forward cab position.
   - A 2nd set of rear view mirrors, mounted on the front fenders.

 
 ENGINE
 
 - Cummins QSM 11, Industrial diesel, 10.8 litre, 6-cyl.-in-line, turbo with intercooler.
 - Max. performance is 224 kW (300 Hp) @ 1800 rpm (216 kW at max. 2100 rpm), max. torque is 1424 Nm @ 1000-1400 rpm.
 - Low exhaust emissions: conform to EC Tier 3 emissions standard for NRMM.
 - With heavy duty airfilter with a cyclonic precleaner plus a 2-stage filter housing.
 - With engine protection system, with initial derating and finally engine stop.
 - Fuel tank 725 liter (660 liter useable). Aluminized steel anti-corrosive exhaust system.
 
 TRANSMISSION
 
 - S.O.H. (Spicer Off-Highway, formerly Clark), model: TE32 4-speed powershift transmission.
 - With automatic gear shifting, type APC200 “Soft-shift”. Including protective forward-reverse shifting lock-out.
 - With transmission protection system, with initial derating and finally engine stop.
 - With oil cooler. With audible alarm when in reverse.
 
 DRIVE AXLE
 
 - Make AxleTech, model PRC 7534 W4H 206 with reinforced spindles, with double reduction.
 - With oil-immersed multiple ‘wet disc’ brakes, with brake oil filtration- and cooling system.
 
 STEER AXLE
 
 - Heavy Duty type, with a single steering cylinder and non-adjustable tie-rods.
 - With steer wheel nut protection.
 
 WHEELS
 
 - 18.00 x 25 - 40 Ply, with pneumatic lug tread tyres.
 
 BRAKES
 

 - Brake system: Fully hydraulic, with accumulator (no air system).
 - Service brake: In the front axle. Oil-immersed multiple ‘wet disc’ brakes, with brake oil filtration- and cooling system.

 
 HYDRAULICS
 

 - Pumps: Two variable-displacement piston pumps with a total performance of maximum 585 l/min.
 - Hyster Two-speed system with regenerative function results in high lift speeds.
 - Leak-free ORFS (O-ring) type fittings are used throughout the whole machine.
 - Filtration: Full-flow return line filter with 10 micron cartridge on the main system,
   plus in-line pressure filter 20 micron on power-assist and support systems.
 - Large hydraulic system oil cooler, suitable for working in up to 50 degrees C. ambient.
 - Hydraulic oil tank: 600 liter (500 liter useable), with level gauge, magnetic drain plugs.
 - Emergency lowering device, to lower the spreader without the engine running.
 - Centralized pressure check points, digital pressure indicator on brake system accumulator.

 
 ELECTRICS
 
 - 24 V system, 70 A alternator, Battery master switch.
 - ‘Canbus’ connection in the cab, for engine, transmission, instruments cluster, and load-moment protection system.
 
 COUNTERWEIGHT
 

 - With optimized rear contour for minimized turning radius and shortest truck length.
 - With purposely bevel-shaped surfaces that offer outstanding visibility, both rearwards as well as sideways-rear.

 
 BOOM
 

 - Two-stage boom, rectangular shape, welded inside and outside, telescoping on self-lubricating
   self-aligning non-metallic bearings.
 - Boom elevation 0-59 degrees angle, derricking by 2 double-acting cylinders, with synchro valves,
   and with speed limiter valves flanged to the cylinders.

 
 BOOM HEAD
 
 - With uniquely wide-spaced supports for the spreader.
 - With damping system on the longitudinal (forwards / backwards) oscillating movement of the spreader.
   Giving
an effective ‘controlled sway’ of the spreader, under varying load weight- and operating conditions.
 
 ROTATOR
 

 - Two hydraulic wet disc brakes, one hydraulic motor (on one of the brake units).
 - Ample rotation angle of maximum +195 / -105 degrees.

 
 SPREADER
 

 HYSTER 'CH' Telescopic Container spreader, to handle 20'-40' ISO containers.

 Equipped with:

 - Free (non-powered) sideways mechanical articulation (pile slope) of +/- 2.5 degrees,
   to facilitate easy handling of containers on / from sloping trailers.

 - Sideshift
movement: 1600 mm total, 800 mm to each side.

 - Pendular floating ISO twistlocks for 20'-40' ISO containers.

 - Twistlocks operation: Turn automatically to locked position, when spreader is correctly positioned on the
   container (it is also possible to do this manually, by pushing a switch in the cab). Turning the twistlocks
   to unlocked position is only possible by pushing a switch in cab.
 - Twistlock indicator lights under the boom and (LED type) against the cab roof.
 - Twistlocks lock-out device (mechanical and electro-hydraulic) to help prevent;
   a. Picking‑up of a container on less than 4 corners.
   b. Unlocking when carrying a container.

 - Lift interrupt system on partially turned twistlocks, so lifting is possible only when the twistlocks
   are either in locked- or in unlocked position.
 - 4 Lifting eyes on the 4 corners of the end-beams of the telescopic container spreader, for lifting general cargo
   (of minimum 6 m length). Note: Full capacity use is only allowed in 20’ or in the 40’ end-positions of the spreader.
   Not in any in-between positions!
 - Container counter on the spreader (counting the number of containers locked).

 
 COMPLETE LIGHT KIT, consisting of:
 
 - 4 Front work lights (on the boom, pointed to 20' and 40'),
 - 2 Rear work lights, 2 Head lights, 2 Front marker lights,
 - 4 Direction indicators, 2 Tail / stop / back-up lights,
 - 2 Orange flashing beacons, one on each side of the boom.
 - 2 Worklights on the spreader, pointed to the twistlocks.
 
 ELECTRONIC LOAD MOMENT CONTROL
 

 - With automatic shut-off beyond the rated load-moment.
 - Warning lights in the dash board: Green, Orange (at 90% load-moment), Red (at 100% rated
   load-moment with automatic shut-off function on boom lowering and telescope-out).
 - And with a digital (
monochrome) display unit, mounted up at the top of the cab’s front
   window, showing actual load, max.  rated load, and load distance plus load height.

 
 INCLUDED
 

 * Automatic shifting of the 4-speed powershift transmission,
    - With APC200 “Soft-shift” system, and protective forward-reverse shifting lock-out.


 * Engine protection system
    - Acting on low oil pressure and high coolant temperature.
    - System initially derates the engine power and finally shuts down the engine. With override function for emergency situations.

 * Transmission protection system
    - Acting on low oil pressure and high oil temperature.
    - System initially derates the engine power and finally shuts down the engine. With override function for emergency situations.


 * Tropical cooling
    - Additional cooling of engine and hydraulic system, for working in ambient temperatures up to max. 50 degr. C. 

 * Powered Damping Cylinders (PDC) function, on the CH spreader:
    -
Enables to ‘tilt’ the spreader forwards & backwards, over +/- 5 degrees, with limited power.
    - Operated by a control knob on the joystick.
    - Facilitates e.g. the easier positioning of the spreader onto containers on extreme sideways (not front to back) sloping trailers.


 * Airconditioning in the cab, with manual temperature control (not automatic ‘climate control’).
    Included are sun screens on the top- and rear window.
