We started up in 1979 under the name of HVN, Heftruck Verhuur Nijmegen.
At that time, our core business
was special transport and rental of forklift trucks. As renting involved
a lot of buying and selling, the focus
of our business gradually shifted towards buying and selling new and
second-hand machines. Our growing
clientele abroad had difficulty pronouncing the company name ‘Heftruck
Verhuur Nijmegen’, so in 1990 we
changed it to Tito Lifttrucks B.V. The company colours also changed from
green/white to red/black.
Our bias towards heavy lift trucks and container handlers eventually led
to our current specialization in
heavier machines with a capacity of 12 tons and above, although we do
still rent out/sell lighter machines.
These days, the ratio long-term rental and sales is around 50/50, and we
rent out/sell mainly new machines
in more than 60 countries.
Hyster is our favourite brand. The factory in Nijmegen, where all the
container handlers and 8-ton and above
forklift trucks are manufactured, and which also houses the central
spare parts warehouse, is within easy
reach at a distance of just 1.5 km.
